The BAS University Lab serves all MTSU students as a crucial space for student collaboration, learning, and academic success. We propose upgrading the lab into a modern, student-centric learning space to support our TrueBlue student success mission. This upgrade will include a video conferencing area, room reservation technology, updated signage, and flooring and panel repairs, ensuring a vibrant and dynamic student environment. We propose adding: a) a Video Conferencing Pod where students can practice presentations, work on team projects, and conduct virtual job interviews. b) Room Reservation Touch Panels - for seamless scheduling of the space. c) Upgraded the space with modern signage; d) Replace and repair damaged flooring to improve safety, aesthetics, and comfort. These improvements will create an engaging, professional, and technology-enhanced space that supports students in developing key skills for academic and career success. The remodel will foster collaboration by providing a high-tech, functional workspace; Help students build confidence by allowing them to practice and refine their communication skills; support career readiness by offering high-quality video conferencing capabilities for remote interviews and networking; and improve accessibility and efficiency with enhanced reservation systems and signage. Investing in this remodel will ensure students have the tools and space to excel academically and professionally. We look forward to moving forward with this transformation and enhancing the learning experience for our students. The lab serves all MTSU majors and is home to thousands of students every semester!
