Highlights
Driver was 22 when she joined the Recording Industry
program at MTSU, where she met Petrey. The two hit
it off with their shared love of pop music and started
running artist street teams and Myspace pages together.
While in college, they got their feet wet in the “New Media” department at Warner
Nashville. Though new media was growing rapidly, Petrey and Driver had bigger
plans. They stepped out on their own in 2007 and established one of the first social
media companies in Nashville, Crowd Surf.
Today, Crowd Surf has evolved into a 50-person team with hubs in Nashville, Los
Angeles, and New York and a revolving roster of accounts featuring some of the most
successful artists, comedians, and companies in the industry, including tech giants
Apple and Google and labels such as Universal, Disney, Sony, Warner, and more.
Crowd Surf boasts a collective social footprint of approximately 1 billion followers.
Cassie Petrey and Jade Driver are the
co-founders and owners of Crowd Surf, the company
behind the social media marketing of some of the world’s
most iconic artists, including Backstreet Boys, Camila
Cabello, Paramore, Nickelback, Aerosmith, Lainey
Wilson, and Donny Osmond.
